Recently new laws were passed by the LTFRB (Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board), which is basically the Department of Motor Vehicles.  This law requires that Jeepneys carry a minimum insurance coverage for bodily injuries by passengers.  Jeepney owners are now required to pay P1,000 yearly for this coverage.  Obviously collision and comprehensive insurance is extra, and as a Jeepney owner, you really should consider looking into these extra plan upgrades.
